I am an alumna of The Hockaday School. I earned a B.A. and M.A., and Ph.D. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University. As a Dallas native, I’ve developed a vast network of contacts in the educational field over my career. It’s critical for an Educational Consultant to visit schools regularly, and as such, I devote a considerable amount of time to touring schools and spending time with admissions counselors so I can understand each school’s mission and make appropriate recommendations to parents. To date, I’ve visited over one hundred and ten private schools in the Dallas area.
I am a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, National Association for Gifted Children, the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented, and the International Dyslexia Association. I am also a member of the Davidson Institute Educators Guild.
A Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, with a specialty designation in Learning Differences, I am the only such practitioner in North Texas to focus exclusively on school placement. I recently earned the prestigious title of Certified Educational Planner from the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners, a distinction awarded to consultants who have achieved the highest level of competence in educational planning. Of the four Certified Educational Planners in North Texas, I am the only one to specialize in school placement (Pre-K through 12th grade).
